Round Vintage Child's Suitcase Paisley Print

I found this among the regular decorated boxes and cases at our local thrift store. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it was under 3 dollars. I love it so much!

Judging by the print it has to be late 60's or early 70's? I don't know if it's a child's suitcase or a doll case? I do remember myself with a similar case, I think mine was blue and I kept my barbies in it. I was
born in 1970.

Anyway, how charming this is. A fun way to store things and I will treasure it for years to come. Then my daughter can have it when she gets older. I love thrifty finds like these ones. Reminds me there are still treasures to be found if we keep our eyes open for them!

  1. Hi Sharon, Having lived through the 60's (and yes, I can remember the 60's, (old joke)), we used to call that type of small luggage piece a make-up, toiletry case. Some were rectangle others were round. Regards, Elaine

  2. I love finding things like this, things you never thought you'd see again . After kicking yourself for letting them go in the first place ! I'm becoming a bit of a hoarder now bringing all the old things back in 😉 they were made better too ( now I do sound like my grandmother!)

    1. Oh I totally get that! I remember so many awesome things I've had and gave away or donated. I've kicked myself a lot. But I guess that also is part of the treasure hunt excitement when we can find something we gave away and bring it back home again, lol And I agree, built so much better back then.
