Mushroom Outhouse Fit For A Gnome

An outhouse fit for a Gnome!

This is actually the 2nd outhouse I've made for this gnome.. back in 2013 I made him a tree outhouse with a wooden roof. You can see that one here. Then the other night I decided a mushroom would suit him better so I went to work. What I did was just cover the old one to save on time. The old one never did get a door so the door you see is
new with working hinges!
(Click on photos to enlarge them)
And of course there's a roll and seat... be careful Gnomey not to fall in, that would be gross indeed!

The outhouse is now on the grounds of the new tree house. I'm still working on the grounds and the house so it might get moved to another spot.

The tree itself is a cardboard box that I covered in fake bark. You can view that tutorial right here. The mushroom is pretty much made the same way. It used to be a pringles can!

Ok, now I'm off to work some more on the house before I call it a night. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon :)

  1. I love how you use cardboard boxes, foil and paper napkins to craft. I was wondering if you glue the door hinges on or screw them in?

    1. Thanks!
I use metal hinges and work them into the material. Hot glue the backsides, tape the topside then layers of material that I've used for the building.
